For someone who loved airplane and airport, it will only be fair to see the history of Indonesian Aviation: Kemayoran Airport, the first international airport in Indonesia.
You were so excited when Dad mentioned this old Kemaryoran Airport Terminal Building. And since we were in the area, we did a detour to catch sunset at the old terminal building
Aside from the terminal building, the remains of Kemayoran Airport are still visible. The runways which become Jl. Benyamin Sueb, and Jl. Rawajali Selatan is very smooth to drive through. The former Air Traffic Controller tower is also still standing, although unfortunately is not as accessible as the terminal building.
